The Power of DISC Styles
Merrick uses the DISC model to explain human behavior through four bird analogies:
Eagle (Dominance - D): Bold, confident, and results-driven. Eagles are natural leaders who take charge and focus on achieving goals.
Parrot (Influence - I): Enthusiastic, social, and optimistic. Parrots light up a room with their energy, making them excellent motivators.
Dove (Steadiness - S): Compassionate, loyal, and harmonious. Doves are the glue that holds teams and families together.
Owl (Conscientiousness - C): Analytical, detail-oriented, and logical. Owls thrive on precision and strategic thinking.
By understanding these styles, you gain insight into why you "click" with some people and "clank" with others. Recognizing and adapting to different styles is key to building stronger relationships and improving communication.
